Unbeatable Quality Dec 18, 2009
This is just an overall outstanding product. I happened upon it while searching for a good journal to use, and agonized over the decision for nearly a full day. I decided on this one, in dark brown, and couldn't be more pleased.
The craftsmanship is out of this world, you can clearly tell this was a hand made item. The leather is smooth, yet rustic. The pages are bound by a wax coated twine, only adding to the strength. The paper is nice and thick, making it possible to write with any style pen you may chose, from a basic roller-ball to a high end fountain. Though, personally, I prefer my writings in pencil.
The biggest drawback for me prior to purchase was the price. I was afraid spending so much on a journal I would be tempted to leave it sit on the shelf never to be touched, but after holding it in my hand it's something I don't want to put down. This will certainly be something that I can pass down the generations of my family, having full confidence that it will survive the journey. Thanks for such a quality product!

I like this journal a lot. I was looking for a good-sized journal that would last me for a long time, and this is it. It has 160 pages, and I'm pleased with the size. I really like the quality of the leather. It is thick, and just feels and looks good. It has a wrap-around strap that you can tie or tuck to keep it closed. I'm happy with this journal.
