The leather photo album is a great photo album. I like that you can store pictures vertically or horizontally in the album (just note that a picture stored vertically takes up the space of 2 pictures).
The CD storage is nice and I also like that we can write about each picture in the margin. The extra space makes it easier to get pictures in to the album as well.
The album is tall so it doesn't fit on all our shelves, but we found a good place for it, and it works great.
I got the burgundy album and love it!

While it is true that you can insert photos either vertically or horizontally, that feature comes with a price in that the horizontal photos tend tilt out of place. To keep them straight I will have to put a little piece of tape behind each to hold them in place. This made the album a disappointment for me.

I have several different photo albums, and here is what I like about this one:
-It holds the pictures vertically or horizontally.
-It has "Memo" space to write descriptions next to the picture.
-It's slim! It still holds a lot of pictures (300), but it's not as bulky as some. I don't have a lot of shelf space, so this is a plus for me.
It's a nice album. The leather looks good, and the album seems sturdy.

We needed an album to transfer my mother's photo collection from the old albums to a more archival type. This is a really nice looking, leather-bound album. The pages are slotted for 4 X 6 photos, and some of the ones we have are a different size... Back in the "old days" photos came in all sizes!! So, I was a little challenged fitting some of the pictures from the same time period into this one. However, it is a lovely addition to our photo collection and I am thinking of buying another one.
The pages have a place near the center of the album to write pertinent information about the pictures, so you don't have to keep pulling them out to look at the back. The album also comes with an order form for a brass plate to label the album with. Nice product.

Very attractive album. Nice and big, holds alot of pictures. The pages are not rigid but flexible paper like most picture albums. Your pictures might bend as the pages bend, but good luck finding an album that has rigid pages. The pages are affixed to the spine like a traditional book, not like a ring binder or anything. the plastic page cover that your pictures go in is adhered to the paper page along the three outer edges to keep your pictures from falling out. It's open along the inner edge of the page where you slide your pictures in like an envelop or pocket. there are little ledges that your pictures can set on inside the pocket to keep them in place. It looks like it wouldn't do a good job of holding them in place, but the pictures don't seem to move around inside the pockets. I decided to keep mine because I couldn't find a picture album I liked better.
